The Special Projects Coordinator will work with the team to ensure special projects undertaken by the CEO and other team members are effectively managed, applying best practice methods. The Coordinator will work closely with the team to systematically manage projects, while delivering effective, efficient results and documenting process and procedures.
Anticipated projects include: Fall Member Forum - on technology and transportation; Spring Member Forum - on clean and sustainable freight transportation; Climate Change Resiliency – synthesize report from May roundtable for an executive-level audience.
Duties and responsibilities
- participate in the planning, research and coordination and execution of special projects and events
- write event materials including pre- and post-meeting reports
- prepare presentations and speeches for delivery by CEO
Knowledge and skills
This position is suited for a university graduate with excellent research and communication skills - field of study should be Environmental Science to provide subject-matter knowledge for projects dealing with climate change, resiliency, and environmental sustainability. Familiarity with the freight transportation industry is desirable.
