Description

Active Impact Investments is seeking a highly motivated, ambitious, and resourceful self-starter to join our growing team as an intern this Fall. This position is ideal for a Vancouver-based student or recent graduate with some work experience and a demonstrated interest in marekting, film, early-stage business, and environmental impact, who thrives in fast-paced, nimble work environments.

Duties and responsibilities

YOUR MISSION…

Help us be successful in developing and communicating both our brand and the power of impact investing to contribute to global climate action, through the production of one or multiple pieces of digital film content to share with the public. Intern tasks will range across marketing, media production, research and branding, all focused on enhancing the public's participation in environmental impact investing, whether as purpose-driven enteprises or as investors.

Education required

Either education or experience in media and film production (end to end), marketing, brand & impact communications strategy.

Eligibility criteria

Qualified interns are:

  • Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the internship
  • Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons granted refugee status in Canada1
  • Legally allowed to work according to the relevant provincial and Canadian legislation and regulations
  • Available to participate in an ImpAct internship for a flexible duration of up to 6 months by March 1, 2021
  • Not employees of the hiring employer prior to the start of their internship (does not apply to previous coop students or student interns, although this must be clearly indicated by the employer)

1Refugee protection must be conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Persons awaiting refugee status, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, student visa or work visa, are ineligible to participate in a Youth Employment Strategy initiative.
