Qool Media is seeking tech savvy digital media buyers to join our Publishing team on the Search and Social channels. We are a small digital marketing firm with high growth that excels at both providing publisher solutions as well as creating engaging digital content spaces for their audiences. 

Social media and search marketing requires an analytical mindset that is able to monitor performance and optimize campaigns accordingly. Our team is successful due to their ability to create effective ad copy as well as draw business insights from a high volume of performance data. You will have the opportunity to exercise your creative skills while writing and reviewing ad copy, flex your quantitative expertise with high volumes of keywords and campaigns, manage A/B testing and visualize data with Google Analytics.

Duties and responsibilities

Day-to-Day Responsibilities: 

  • Lead day-to-day management of content and search campaigns including keyword generation, ad copy writing, and multi-variant testing 
  • Analyze marketing campaigns across multiple search engines and content platforms to ensure customer acquisition and conversion goals are being met
  • Utilize data modeling and testing to maximize the effectiveness of pay per click campaigns
  • Develop and test new campaigns to better target users and improve overall marketing efficiencies
  • Identify high value demographics and target them accordingly
  • Develop a high level of digital marketing and search engine marketing expertise

Required Qualifications:

  • University or college certificate preferred
  • Solid understanding of Internet technologies
  • Exposure to or experience using Google Adwords and/or Microsoft Bing Ads
  • Exposure to or experience using multi-variant testing environments
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Word 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Creativity, teamwork, and strong attention to detail

Education required

University or college certificate in marketing, a quantitative field, or other relevant education and work experience

Qualified interns are:

  • Post-secondary graduates – this is not a requirement for residents of the Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut applying for internships in those territories
  • Underemployed (employed below their level of education or work part-time)
  • Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the internship
  • Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons granted refugee status in Canada*
  • Legally allowed to work according to the relevant provincial and Canadian legislation and regulations
  • Not receiving employment insurance during their internship
  • Available to work for at least six months
  • Not previous participants of a federal youth employment program
  • Not employees of the hiring employer prior to the start of their internship (does not apply to previous coop students or student interns)

*Refugee protection must be conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Persons awaiting refugee status, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, student visa or work visa, are ineligible to participate in a Youth Employment and Skills Strategy initiative.
