REALLIFE Pictures Inc. is a production company and boutique literary agency for diverse, neuro-diverse and LGBTQ+ screenwriters. We are passionate about diversity and always looking to add authentic diverse voices to the Canadian film and television industry. The long term goal for the company is to shine a global spotlight on diverse filmmakers by telling their unique stories with their personal POVs. We are developing new original IP from each of the writers on our roster and marketing them and their projects to a global audience. We are looking to build our digital platform as a means to launching our new projects and writers. We are looking for a recent graduate to help us grow our digital platform, and help us reach those that fit with our vision.
Duties and responsibilities
The intern would be responsible for the following.
Content development on our website, showcasing and helping write copy to bring our projects and writers to life, to bring clarity and show the value that we can offer to customers.
Assisting with our new writers in the development stage (online script reads, generals, research, etc.), prelaunch test marketing to various key stakeholders to determine how best to effectively communicate with them, and provide database/resources for new and emerging writers.
Managing our social media profiles, building relevant content related to what we are currently doing and the directions we are going.
Knowledge and skills
Experience working with start ups is a bonus.
An ability to take direction, but to use your own initiative is very important.
A genuine interest in diversity and the type of projects/writers we represent is a must.

A positive, can do attitude. A willingness to take on responsibility and ability to learn fast and adapt are excellent skills to possess. We are growing fast, we are looking for someone who can grow fast with us.
An ability to create and execute a strategy, Then test, measure, learn and improve. Must know how to meet deadlines.
There should be a level of relevant technical skills gained, Digital marketing diploma or similar. Relevant education or experience of course considered.
Should have some level of education or experience in: SEO, web design, copywriting, Online advertising, social media.

Qualified interns are:
- Post-secondary graduates – this is not a requirement for residents of the Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut applying for internships in those territories
- Underemployed (employed below their level of education or work part-time)
- Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the internship
- Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons granted refugee status in Canada*
- Legally allowed to work according to the relevant provincial and Canadian legislation and regulations
- Available to work for at least six months
- Not employees of the hiring employer prior to the start of their internship (does not apply to previous coop students or student interns)
*Refugee protection must be conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Persons awaiting refugee status, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, student visa or work visa, are ineligible to participate in a Youth Employment and Skills Strategy initiative.
