Marketing and Communications Associate

 

Responsibilities

In this role you

  • Will be helping us rewrite our product content in marketing terms
  • Will be helping us create Social media strategy
  • Will be creating your own marketing material such as flyers, brochures, and even website content
  • Will be helping us promote our brand
  • Will be taking care of direct marketing by communicating with clients
  • Will be traveling across GTA to promote our brand and to bring new clients
  • Will be launching digital marketing campaigns and other ad campaigns
  • Will aggressively meet deadlines and targets

 

 

Required Qualifications:

Marketing Associate must have completed his post-secondary education in Marketing or Communications or equivalent from an affiliated Canadian college or University

  • Must be able to articulate the power of “getting” digital
  • Must be a great facilitator, great presenter, and an even better writer
  • Should have strong graphic design skills and familiarity with Adobe suite of products
  • Previous experience working with schools and educational products would be an asset
  • Must be passionate and willing to explore advanced technological products
  • Experience working in direct marketing, online marketing, social media strategies, and search engine marketing would be an asset
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must have knowledge and experience working with Search Engine Optimization
  • Must be able to work independently

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Will be helping us rewrite our product content in marketing terms
  • Will be helping us create Social media strategy
  • Regularly post content and ads on social media and expand our customer base
  • Will be creating your own marketing material such as flyers, brochures, and even website content
  • Will be helping us promote our brand
  • help us list our business on all digital directories for backlinking purposes
  • Will be taking care of direct marketing by communicating with clients
  • Will be traveling across GTA to promote our brand and to bring new clients
  • Will be launching digital marketing campaigns and other ad campaigns
  • Will aggressively meet deadlines and targets

 

Knowledge and skills

  • Must be a great facilitator, great presenter, and an even better writer
  • Should have strong graphic design skills and familiarity with Adobe suite of products
  • Must have experience working with common social media platforms like facebook, google, Instagram and so on
  • Previous experience working with schools and educational products would be an asset
  • Must be passionate and willing to explore advanced technological products
  • Experience working in direct marketing, online marketing, social media strategies, and search engine marketing would be an asset
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must have knowledge and experience working with Search Engine Optimization
  • Must be able to work independently

 

Education required

Must be a recent grad from a recognized Canadian College or University specialized in digital marketing or equivalent

Qualified interns are:

  • Starting the internship within two years of receiving their post-secondary diploma
  • Underemployed (employed below their level of education or work part-time)
  • No more than 30 years of age at the start of the internship
  • Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons granted refugee status in Canada*
  • Legally allowed to work according to the relevant provincial and Canadian legislation and regulations
  • Not receiving employment insurance during their internship
  • Available to work for at least six months

*Refugee protection must be conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Persons awaiting refugee status, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, student visa or work visa, are ineligible to participate in a Youth Employment Strategy initiative.
