Anvy Technologies Inc. has two products, CuGrip and Sepura. CuGrip was created to help keep people safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. CuGrip uses adhesive copper wraps with anti-microbial properties that kill viruses within moments of contact. Sepura is a first-of-its-kind smart composter that allows composting to be simple for anyone.  

We are looking for someone with a background and/or a keen interest in PR, marketing, and sales to create awareness for our products and build connections with potential customers. This 6-month position will involve close work with the VP of Sales and Marketing at Anvy Technologies to develop and execute PR, marketing and sales plans.

Duties and responsibilities


  • Enhance Anvy’s product stories
  • Identify PR opportunities (North America and Europe) 
  • Pitch PR stories to reporters and outlets
  • Grow amount of media recognition
  • Leverage PR opportunities into social media growth and e-commerce sales


  • Develop and implement omni-channel marketing strategies 
  • Write and optimize SEO blog posts
  • Curation and management of social media channels
  • Design and publishing of email campaigns
  • Creation, testing, and optimization of marketing strategies
  • Manage of the company’s social media platforms
  • Manage the company’s website content
  • Create and modify signage (using Canva)


  • Set sales targets and predictions
  • Cold approaching leads
  • Ensure deadlines are met
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers
  • Discover and contact potential corporate customers
  • Establish connections and enquire about introducing the product to retail stores
  • Establishing contact with potential partnerships

Knowledge and skills

Who you are

  • Interested in marketing, sales, and/or PR
  • Interested in start-ups and/or technology 
  • Self-motivated and very flexible 
  • Great time management skills

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience with marketing strategies and planning
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Experience with social media platforms
  • Familiarity with Asana, Slack, Zoho, and Mailchimp is an asset

Education required

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) 

Certification required

Certifications pertaining to Sales, Marketing, and PR are an asset

Qualified interns are:

  • Post-secondary graduates – this is not a requirement for residents of the Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut applying for internships in those territories
  • Underemployed (employed below their level of education or work part-time)
  • Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the internship
  • Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons granted refugee status in Canada*
  • Legally allowed to work according to the relevant provincial and Canadian legislation and regulations
  • Available to work for at least six months
  • Not employees of the hiring employer prior to the start of their internship (does not apply to previous coop students or student interns)

*Refugee protection must be conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Persons awaiting refugee status, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, student visa or work visa, are ineligible to participate in a Youth Employment and Skills Strategy initiative.
