Elocity Technologies Inc. (Elocity) is a Cleantech company based in Toronto, ON. Elocity is incubated at Center for Urban Energy Ryerson (CUE), and is also mentored through the Accelerator Centre’s JumpStart™ program. Elocity has developed solutions for solving the challenges in electric vehicle space and renewable energy space. We are transforming the transportation electrification and renewable energy journey for electric utilities, cities, and businesses, supporting national and local ambitions for cleaner and sustainable energy systems, and help in decarbonizing the grid.

 

At Elocity we support innovations in technologies for decarbonization of electricity grids. We are committed to diversity and inclusiveness.  We are looking for a Technical Analyst for assessment of the impact of electric vehicle adoption on the environment, recyclability of electric vehicle used batteries, and long-term impact of electric vehicle charging load on building the infrastructure. Since electric vehicles are going to impact transportation, electricity systems it is important for cities and electric utilities to understand the impact and build the strategies around systematic adoption and proliferation. The Technical Analyst would work very closely with the customers and research partners of Elocity to collect the required information, analyze the data and trends, and produce the reports.

Tâches et responsabilités

Technical analyst would be responsible for researching, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data related to markets, operations, finance/accounting, economics, customers, and other information related to the impact of electric vehicle impact on the environment and society.  Should be good at handling the information from a quantitative, analytical, logical perspective. Understand the stakeholders and patterns of adoption vis a vis managing numbers and data.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Analyze electric vehicle adoption in Canada and globally
  • Analyze the correlation of electric vehicles adoption on the city and electric utility infrastructure
  • Perform statistical analysis based on market data and find future trends.
  • Identify trends and make recommendations for improvements
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports
  • Use Excel Function to organize and analyze data
  • Create charts, graphs, and presentations for leadership teams
  • Develop recommendations to improve business operations going forward
  • Develop and maintain detailed databases of appropriate reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications
  • Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
  • Work with development and support leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage
  • Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation

Connaissances et compétences

  • Understanding of electricity, electric vehicle, and environment sector and their interdependencies.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics
  • Ability writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail

Scolarité requise

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences.
  • 1-3 years of experience in research or industry analysis in the sustainability / renewable energy sector.
